Weather

Our tour in Oman will cover latitudes from 19 degrees North up to approx 25 degrees North, and we will spend time deep in the interior as well as at the coast.

We have compiled this table with data from climate-data.org and having spent copious amounts of time in Oman most winters, we think the tables below are an accurate representation.

Oman’s weather in the winter can be varied; they get occasional sandstorms, heavy rain and cool snaps/heatwaves.  We will adjust our itinerary when the weather will have a negative effect on our activities.

It should be said that 25C in Oman feels very different from 25C in Marina’s native Scotland.  There you would be wearing shorts and a t-shirt and feeling extremely hot, however in Oman the temperatures generally feel 5-10C cooler, and when the mercury drops below 20C in the evening you will be reaching for a light jacket to keep you warm.

  • Temperatures are given in Celsius
  • Average temperatures are the daily average
  • Minimum and maximum temperatures are averaged over the month.  Temps at the end of November and December, and at the start of January – April can be expected to be lower than the average.
